5 years of Yennai Arindhal | Victor is born!

The acting career of Arun Vijay can be split into two: Before and After Yennai Arindhal.

It wasn’t easy for the man who is one of the best actors in the industry now. He came into the industry with a reputation of being the veteran Vijayakumar’s son, he had shoes to fill in. Of course, there was no pressure but I repeat, he had shoes to fill in, at least with the fans.

We, fans, are so used to celebrate only a few stars those days and we don’t even have time and money to watch what the other stars had to do. Maybe, that is one of the reasons why Arun Vijay had to wait so long for his break. It is not that he was bad in his earlier films. I can name at least a few films that were beautiful and we had Arun Vijay rocking the role. However, things didn’t go his way.

He waited, waited for a long. I’m not sure what he had to go through mentally when his films failed despite his hard work. He tried, failed, kept trying.

His attitude, his passion towards the art and his love to better himself every single day was keeping him going. His family, the love was keeping him going. Thanks to them for backing him despite whatever he went through.

Arun Vijay is certainly a man of steel. He hates failure, hey, he even has “no 1” in his Social Media IDs, he believes that he can be one. Though he tasted them in his career, he always knew he is going to be there someday. Five years ago, that day happened. Victor happened. Arun Vijay, the actor was born once again.

Victor took him to a different level from where he was. The first show. He was out to witness the response of the people and there you go, he couldn’t control. He was in tears. He couldn’t hide. This is something he has been waiting for. For years. I was there witnessing him. In tears. Tasting the victory. Tasting the love he has been waiting for years. He deserved them all. He deserved to there.

He was everywhere. From covers to convocation. Everything turned tables and things finally became right.

The scripts kept coming, the directors and the luck kept knocking his doors. However, he didn’t take whatever that came his way but became choosy. He understood the pulse of the audience and knew what would work now.

To his luck, the audience today are looking forward to content-oriented films and this certainly is what Arun Vijay needs now. We, fans, need someone like Arun Vijay today.

Victor is five today. He will stay with us all forever.

I’m so happy that I was able to interview him for a Magazine cover story. He certainly is an inspiration.
