Brave act: Vidarbha wicketkeeper Saloni Allot saves home by catching thief!

24 year old wicketkeeper from Vidarbha, Saloni Allot, risked her career as she got hold of the thief who tried to break their house.

Having taken leave from the game to put her studies first, Saloni, a qualified chemical engineer, wrestled with the burglar for more than 10 minutes before potential help could appear.

Senior Police Inspector Sunil Gangurde prasied this young biker-engineer-guitarist-cricketer, said, “It is not a joke to fight a burglar barehanded for that long.

During the fight, she picked up bruises from the sharp objects the thief was carrying which could have halted her cricket career however she didn’t give up.

Talking about the incident, she said that she had no time to think and it was her instincts.

Saloni was once trained by Anju Jain and in 2018-2019 season, she had 37 dismissals in 26 games.
