The Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of both ODI and T20I series against New Zealand.
The opener injured his shoulders while fielding during the third ODI against Australia. He did not bat in the game and was seen wearing a sling around his shoulders. Later, he was sent for the scans and now it looks like the scan results are not encouraging.
However, BCCI is yet to name a replacement for the Delhi batter. Mayank Agarwal, Suryakumar Yadav or Prithvi Shaw might join the squad. If not, someone from the India A team who is currently in New Zealand might join.
Making things worse for India, the pacer Ishant Sharma might not travel with the team as well after injuring his ankle during the recent Ranji Trophy match.
