Ever since Ravi Ashwin dismissed Jos Buttler by mankading in the last edition of IPL, the rule is under scanner with players and fans having difference of opinion about the rule.
While many are claiming that it is against the ‘spirit of the game’, many are arguing that it is a form of dismissal and it’s in the rulebook.
Today, in Afghanistan’s Shpageeza Cricket League, Dawlat Zadran mankaded Noor Ali Zadran.
It was the match between Kabul Eagles and Mis Ainak Knights. The Eagles opted to field first. Shahidullah’s 58 helped the Knights to reach 163 in their 20 overs.
While chasing the target, the Eagles were cruising with Noor Ali Zadran doing the maximum damage. The opener had 61 from 42 deliveries when he was mankaded by Dawlat Zadran in the 16th over of the match.
However, the Eagles had enough star power in their line-up as they went on to win the match with an over to spare.
