Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry will miss the first T20I against New Zealand which will begin on Saturday.
Perry, who suffered an injury during the T20I World Cup in the match against the same opponent, had to miss the tournament and then had a surgery as well.
Though Perry is all set to return, she is yet to work on her game plan, says the captain Meg Lanning.
“She’s still working through her return-to-play plan. When she ticks off all those markers, she’ll be available, but she’s still working through that so we won’t see her tomorrow,” she said.
She also added that she is expecting Perry to be available soon.
“There are six games in pretty quick succession but we’re pretty confident we’ll have everybody to pick from,” she said.
