As professional football returned to Denmark, fans used Zoom to be part of the action.
On Thursday, Denmark’s Aarhus took on Randers and the fans made their appearances using the video conferencing app Zoom.
Ahead of the game, Aarhus described the ‘Zoom wall’ as the world’s first “virtual grandstand.”
Crowd noise was piped in for the match and there were cardboard “spectators” in place in the stands.
Of course, the stadium was without any fans but there were zoom screens where the fans were virtually connected. They were seen holding banners and were supporting their teams.
Well, this might be the future for at least few days considering the pandemic.
Aarhus equalised in stoppage minute and the game finished 1-1.
