Happy Birthday Karthi!

Karthi.

The industry is full of competition and to come from a family that has three wonderful performers, it is never going to be easy for Karthi.

However, he really did break all the chords to reach where he is now.

The best thing about Karthi is how he is ready to take the risk with new directors. It takes courage to do so. Most of the actors in the industry believe in the ‘duo factor’. They love to repeat the combo. They love to stay inside the comfort zone. For Karthi though taking a risk is his comfort zone.

He believes in the script and goes ahead. He knows he can pull things off with his acting.

Among all the films, there are a few I love watching over and over. His comic sense needs a mention too. There are scenes where he easily communicates with the audience through his eyes. He can even make people laugh just by his reactions.

In whatever role he played, he would easily fit in. In most of the films, you cannot imagine replacing him with anyone else. Such is the impact Karthi brings to the script.

He adapts, lives like the character and would make us wonder how he does it with ease.

To come out of the shadow of Suriya to create a name for himself is really a big deal. Nobody looks at him as the younger brother of Suriya now. He has his own fanbase.

I love the way how he carries himself off-screen too. He makes sure to support his family no matter what.

Karthi is certainly someone I love to watch more on theatres. The curiosity his film creates is something huge for me. Despite the curiosity, I certainly trust him for his choices. Even if I didn’t catch the trailer, I know Karthi would have something to surprise me. I know he will not disappoint. Of course, there were a few films that I didn’t like but nobody can be perfect all the time.

While I love Suriya, I cannot relate to him but Karthi feels more like he is one of us and his films do make me feel close to the characters.
