It was a pretty one-sided contest at the Wankhede Stadium as the visitors Australia brutally destroyed the Indian bowlers to go 1-0 up in the series.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Australia dismissed Rohit Sharma early and that allowed KL Rahul to come in at number three. Rahul and Dhawan added some useful runs for the team with Dhawan scoring 74.
However, India lost wickets at regular intervals and they ended up scoring only 255 on a good batting surface.
In return, Australian openers showed no mercy and took the team over the finish line with ease.
Aaron Finch and David Warner scored a ton each and stood unbeaten to take the team safe.
