INDIAN WOMEN RATTLES SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN IN THE FIRST T20I

With Jhulan Goswami in the team, Harmanpreet Kaur was forced to make changes to balance the team. Jemimah, Pooja, Radha made their debut for India. Ntozakhe and de Klerk made their debut for South Africa. 
After asked to bat, South African openers launched the innings with boundaries. However, India bounced back. Du Preez silently built her innings, scored 31 off 27. Tryon destroyed the Indian bowlers to pick an unbroken 7 balls 32. The hosts ended with 164 in their 20 overs. Anuja Patil picked two wickets.

Indian openers started the innings with a flurry of boundaries. Mandana smashed 15 balls 28, Kaur got out for zero that added pressure on the youngster Jemimah, but she didn’t show any nerves, played an exciting knock of 27 balls 37. Veda joined Mithali to finish off the match. Mithali, as usual, played the backing role allowing others to play around her knock. Veda scored 22 balls 37*, Mithali scored 48 balls 54*.

India chased the target within 19 overs to go one nil up in the five-match series. Mithali Raj was awarded the player of the match for her knock.
