Mumbai Indians reclaimed the top spot after a solid victory against Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
Delhi made a few changes today. Carey replaced injured Pant, Rahane debuted for the franchise as well.
Batting first, the team lost Shaw and Rahane early. However, Dhawan’s 69 and Iyer’s 42 brought the team back. A few cameos down the order took them to 162. Among Mumbai bowlers, Krunal Pandya did well by picking up two wickets.
In return, Mumbai lost Rohit early but Quinton de Kock made sure to steady the ship and scored 53. Suryakumar Yadav backed it up with yet another fifty. When the team was cruising, they lost Yadav and Hardik Pandya in a quick sucession, taking the match to the final over.
However, Mumbai’s experience came in handy as Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard did the job for the team in the end.
