Mariyappan Thangavelu has bagged silver medal in the High Jump T63 at Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
This is his second consecutive medal in the Paralympics.
In Rio 2016, he was the gold medallist.
Sam Grewe has bagged the gold in this year’s High Jump T63 category. He had successfully crossed 1.88m.
Both Mariyappan Thangavelu and Sharad Kumar competed in the Rio 2016. The latter had finished sixth.
On the other hand, Varun Singh had finished seventh this year in the final.
This two medals will take India’s tally to 10. A double figure mark for the first time.
