Indian batters Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Jayant Yadav are set to join the Indian team in England.
All the three players will be flying to England for the five-match Test series.
India had recently faced three blows as Avesh Khan, Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar had to be ruled out of the series because of injury.
Gill flew back to India days ago. BCCI had first ignored the team’s request for a replacement for the opener.
Indian team already has Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal in the team and Easwaran as stand-by. Looks like the Board had changed the mind after increasing list of injuries.
Shaw will be replacing Gill while Jayant Yadav will be replacing Washington Sundar. Jayant Yadav last played for India in 2017.
Suryakumar Yadav has been called into the team as a stand-by for Indian Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane. The latter has hamstring issue.
Since India has a good number of pacers in their list, there is no replacement for Avesh Khan.
