After a great World Cup, Shakib Al Hasan is not having a great time. First, it was violating BCB’s terms and conditions by signing a deal with a telecom company. Now, it looks like he could be banned by ICC for 18 months for not reporting a bookie approach.
According to Bangladeshi News outlet, Shakib was approached by a bookie before a match around two years ago. As per protocol, the players need to report those approaches to ICC.
Later when the ICC anti-corruption unit spoke, Shakib accepted the mistake and said that he didn’t complain because he didn’t take the bookie seriously.
This means Shakib is doubtful for the India tour.
