High-scoring games, low-scoring games, defending totals. Sunrisers Hyderabad can do anything on their day. They have bowlers who have shown the world how to defend tiny totals. They have batters who have scored runs in quick pace.
In David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, the team’s opening combination cannot get any better. Both are in a decent form as well and certainly is the key.
Kane Williamson who captained the previous season might not play all the matches here, blame the overseas players rule. The team possibly will prefer an extra spinner rather than a batter and Nabi has a great chance of playing here apart from the openers and Rashid Khan.
Rashid Khan will be the key in conditions like this. The team might be tempted to send him early in the innings too.
While the top-order is looking pretty, the team has troubles when it comes to the middle-order.
They don’t have a good reliable batter who can take the game away from the opponents. They do have a few batters like Manish Pandey, Shreevats Goswami, Abishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar. Again, they are not big power-hitters.
There are certainly a few young talents in the team to look forward to.
The biggest plus for the team is the variety of spin bowlers available in the line-up. They will prove vital once again. The Pacers, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar can be the game-changers for the team.
If Warner and Bairstow csn dominate, the team is in good position for sure.
