Suryakumar Yadav continued his great form as he smashed 120 from just 47 deliveries in the warm-ups ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
MCA is currently conducting four-team practice games ahead of the trophy(Team A, B, C, D). Captaining Team B, Suryakumar Yadav went on to scored 120 runs with 10 fours and 9 sixes in the match. He took Arjun Tendulkar for 21 runs in an over as well. The left-arm pacer ended up with 1 for 31.
Team B went on to score 213 runs against Team D led by Jaiswal. Akash Parkar was the pick of the bowlers for Team D as he ended up with five wickets.
Chasing 213, Team D fell 11 runs short of the target. For Team D, Bhupen Lalwani scored a half-century and he shared a good partnership with Sachin Yadav who scored 43. However, the team tumbled, in the end, to fall 11 runs short. Khizar Dafedar had three wickets while Tushar Deshpande grabbed two.
Earlier, in the first match against Team A, Suryakumar helped his team to chase down 133 with ease as he ended up with 59* from just 31 deliveries. Earlier, it was Deshpande’s three wickets that reduced Team A to 133.
Team D went on to win their first match as well against Team C. The latter scored 183, thanks to the efforts of Shivam Dube who made 49 from just 23. Arjun Tendulkar was the pick of the bowlers as he ended up with 2 for 22 in the match.
In return, Jaiswal was the star of the match as he went on to score 103* from just 49 deliveries as the team chased down 184 within 19 overs.
