Southern Brave outperformed Birmingham Phoenix in the final, as the team wins the first-ever The Hundred Men tournament.
Batting first, Brave had lost Quinton de Kock and James Vince early. Milne, who dismissed de Kock, came back to dismiss Alex Davies for 27. Tim David then smashed a couple of six before getting out for 6-ball 15.
On the other hand, Paul Stirling played an important hand, scored 61 from just 36 deliveries.
His knock gave Ross Whiteley the platform to go for big hits from ball one. Whiteley had 19-ball 44*, which took his team to 168.
In return, Phoenix found themselves at 14 for 2 before Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone tried to steady the ship. Ali had 36 while Livingstone had 19-ball 46.
However, Brave bounced back to remove back-to-back wickets.
In the end, despite the efforts of Howell and Benjamin, Phoenix couldn’t keep up with the run rate and fell 32 runs short of the total.
