Wimbledon 2021: Roger Federer goes down to Hubert Hurkacz

Hubert Hurkacz had the biggest win of his career as he went past his idol, Roger Federer to reach the semi-final of the Wimbledon 2021.

Hurkacz began well by taking the first set 6-3. However, Federer came back stronger in the second, to grab a break but a couple of misfired forehands took him back to the serve.

The set went into the tie-break where Federer was unlucky to slip. He eventually gave away a couple of points and ended losing the set.

The third set looked more like a practice game as there wasn’t much effort from Federer, compared to the other two sets. Hurkacz went on to win all the six games with ease, handed a bagel to Federer.

This is the first time since 2008, Federer had a bagel in his career. Last time, it was Rafa Nadal.

Hurkacz will meet the winner of Matteo Berrettini and Felix Auger Aliassime.
