Ireland’s Georgina Dempsey recently showed off her all-round skills while batting for Phoenix Cricket Club in Sprint Coatings Division 1 League.

Taking on Pembroke W1, the all-rounder smashed 139 runs from just 68 deliveries. The knock included 14 fours and five sixes.

Three of her five sixes came in the third over against Hannah Little. The over went for 26 runs, including three sixes and a four.

She got to her fifty in the 22nd delivery, in the sixth over. Minutes later, Shauna Kavanagh became her next victim. She smashed her for five fours in the over which went for 21 runs.

She took 49 deliveries to reach her 100 which came in 14th over. Hannah Little’s finally over went for 15 runs, had three fours.

In the end, she ended up with 139* runs from just 68 deliveries. The team made 222 for the loss of only one wicket.

Chasing a mammoth total, Mary Waldron began to attack right from the start. She made 53 from 46 deliveries. On the other hand, Louise Little smashed five fours and three sixes for her 51 from just 28 deliveries. However, it wasn’t enough as the team didn’t have much support from other batters.

After a brilliant display with the bat, Dempsey removed the top-order, including Waldron and Louise Little and Hannah Little. She even had back to back wickets in the fifteenth over. She ended up with 4 for 36 and helped her team win by 36 runs.
